Progress Update

High Performance Civic Building Policy enacted 2022 and requires new buildings be Net-zero Energy-ready. Fire Hall Five is LEED Certified (not Passive House / Net-zero Energy-ready)4. No buildings have started the design phase since January 2022 (when policy passed).

Progress Update

High Performance Civic Building Policy C08-002 enacted on January 1, 2022, requiring new municipal buildings to be Net-zero Energy-ready. Construction of Fire Hall #5 (LEED Certified) commenced in April 2022, and a ceremonial grand opening event was held in August 2023. No buildings have started the design phase since the policy was enacted in January 2022.
