Progress Update

A pre-feasibility study was initiated in 2023 to explore the viability of developing renewable energy at the City's Material Recovery Centre and capped areas of the City's landfill. Glare, Environmental and Interconnection studies are planned in 2024 and 2025. A feasibility study was also initiated in 2023 to explore the viability of expanding power generation at the landfill; the study will be completed by end of year 2024.
